The International Association of Workforce Professionals has presented Oregon at Work: 1859-2009 with the prestigious Frank Waller Public Relations Award. The award was presented at the organization's annual conference in Newport, Oregon on May 14, 2009.

Art Ayre accepted the award for co-author Tom Fuller. The award is given to the individual or individuals who do outstanding work in promoting the workforce system.
